2023 m. „Formulės 1“ sezonas baigėsi dar sekmadienį, tačiau dalis pilotų ilgiau pasiliko Abu Dabyje (Jungtiniai Arabų Emyratai), kur antradienį vyko bandymai.
Greičiausias bandymuose buvo „Alpine“ pilotas Estebanas Oconas – 1 min. 24.393 sek. Tuo tarpu britas George‘as Rusellas („Mercedes“) patyrė avariją ir baigė bandymus anksčiau laiko.

Beje, tai nebuvo vienintelė nelaimė „Mercedes“ komandos gretose. Vienas iš ekipos atstovų prieplaukoje sugebėjo...pamesti vestuvinį žiedą. Nelaimėlio bičiulis bandė išgelbėti kolegą, pasiėmė nardymo įrangą bei metalo detektorių ir ieškojo žiedo.
„Mercedes“ darbuotojas panėrė ne vieną ir ne du kartus, bet žiedo taip ir nerado. Pavyko ištraukti tik dugne buvusį peilį.
